The Indianapolis Colts and Jonathan Taylor marriage is not coming to an end after all (or at least not yet).
As Adam Schefter of ESPN was the first to report that no trade came together in time, and the Colts star RB will start the 2023 NFL season on the PUP list.
What happens now?
With the announcement that Jonathan Taylor will begin the 2023 season on the PUP list, he will not at least miss the first four weeks of the season. The earliest he can return to the field is week 5. And by Taylor's recent X (Twitter) like, it doesn't seem that his issues with the team are going anywhere anytime soon.
While the Colts self-made trade deadline didn't happen, the NFL's deadline is not until October 31st at 4 p.m. And I expect the interest from the two teams who were involved in trade negotiations with the Colts will stay interested (The Miami Dolphins and a mystery 2nd team). So now we will have to wait and see if the Colts and Taylor can repair their damaged relationship or if a trade happens down the road to end their working relationship.
