The Los Angeles Chargers have their new head coach. They caught the big fish of the pond – officially.
The Chargers have officially named Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh their new HC.
Harbaugh has been their top candidate throughout their interviewing process. His duties come with a hefty price, but he's a proven winner at the CFB and NFL level. Harbaugh is fresh off a national championship win with the Wolverines.
Harbaugh is 60 years old. The HC has spent the last nine seasons at Michigan. The Wolverines are 86-25 in that span.
He found plenty of success as the head coach with the San Francisco 49ers during the 2010s. Harbaugh also has a strong relationship with the Chargers and their ownership. He played for the Chargers in 1999 and 2000.
Once the discussions began to evolve into coaching staff choices, there was no looking back for the veteran HC and LA.
Harbaugh is officially back in California and the NFL.
