Five former Tennessee Vols players were selected in last month's 2023 NFL Draft.

Those five former Vols, however, aren't the only players that played at Tennessee that will be on an NFL squad this fall.

Several other former Vols have signed undrafted free agent deals this spring, including a former Tennessee defender who landed with an NFC West team this week.

Former Vols defensive lineman LaTrell Bumphus signed an UDFA deal this week with the Seattle Seahawks.

Bumphus is one of the few Tennessee players who played under Butch Jones, Jeremy Pruitt, and Josh Heupel.

The Tennessee native, who grew up rooting for the Vols, arrived at UT in 2017. He spent some time at tight end before eventually settling in as a defensive lineman.

Bumphus started the final 10 games of the 2022 season, becoming a key part of the Vols' defensive line rotation.

The former Tennessee standout likely won't be a player that fills up stat sheets in the NFL, but he could still carve out a nice role as a pro. It wouldn't be a surprise if Bumphus has a lengthy, if unspectacular, NFL career.
