College football uniforms can be a touchy subject with fans.

There are usually two camps — the traditionalists and those who want to see new uniform styles on a yearly basis.

Tennessee Vols fans who are traditionalists may not be happy with a comment from head coach Josh Heupel on Tuesday at SEC Media Days.

Heupel hinted that Tennessee could use some new alternate jerseys this season.

"Look good, feel good, play good," said Heupel.

Tennessee introduced smokey gray jerseys under Butch Jones in 2013. Jeremy Pruitt, who succeeded Jones as UT's head coach, discontinued usage of the smokey gray uniforms when he took over in 2017.

It's unclear what kind of alternate uniforms Heupel has in mind, but there have been some unsubstantiated rumors about black jerseys being used.
