Tennessee's win may have been the final straw for Mizzou head coach Cuonzo Martin, who coached the Vols from 2011 to 2014.
It was definitely the final straw for Rivals.com columnist Gabe DeArmond.
After the game, DeArmond wrote a scathing column that was…well, different than anything I've ever read before.
Here's a sample:

Ouch. That's not a good look for anyone.
(Though in complete fairness, I should point out that DeArmond is paying homage to a scene from the movie Major League. It just isn't going to be received like he thought it would be.)
DeArmond's frustration stems from Martin's 10-18 record this season, which has pushed the Tigers' fan base past the point of apathy.
Martin, who has a history of leaving programs just before things so completely south, will almost certainly be fired after this season. Mizzou has only reached the NCAA tournament twice since Martin arrived in 2017. And the Tigers have yet to win a tournament game under Martin.
(Martin hasn't won an NCAA tournament game since the 2013-14 season when he somehow led the Volunteers to the Sweet 16.)
It looks like Martin waited one year too long to make his exit from Missouri, which means it's extremely unlikely he'll swindle his way into another Power-5 head coaching job.
Tennessee fans caught a lot of flack nearly a decade ago when they wanted Martin gone. But they weren't wrong. Martin leaving the Vols for California turned out to be the best thing that could've happened to the program (even if it led to the bizarre Donnie Tyndall season in 2014-15).
