There is no question that Pekka Rinne is one of, if not, the greatest Nashville Predators of all-time. He is undoubtedly the best goalie in franchise history, and Preds fans have a passion for Rinne that is unlike any other player that has ever played for the team.
The outpouring praise for Pekka since his retirement announcement this morning from fans, players, and media has been something special. Not many players get that type of reaction when they hang up the skates, but he deserves every bit of it.
Like everyone else who has ever watched or known him, his teammates are fans of Pekka as a player, a teammate, and most of all, a person. His opponents respect him and understand the legacy he has made for himself in Nashville. That legacy will never be forgotten.
