National college football analyst throws some major shade at Tennessee after win over Florida

The Tennessee Vols are suddenly one of the "it teams" in college football after taking down the Florida Gators this past weekend.
Tennessee is now 4-0 and ranked No. 8 in the nation. It's the first time the Vols have been 4-0 since 2016. And it's the program's highest ranking since the 2006 season when Tennessee was ranked No. 7 at one point.
While there's plenty of hype surrounding the Vols right now, not everyone is jumping on the Tennessee bandwagon.
National college football analyst Danny Kanell, a former Florida State quarterback, took to social media this week to suggest that Kansas should be ranked ahead of the Vols (and Kentucky, which is ranked No. 7).
Let's take a look at the resumés.
Kansas has wins against two unranked Power-5 teams in West Virginia (on the road) and Duke. They also have a win against Houston (on the road). And they've beaten Tennessee Tech.
Houston isn't a good team this season. It took them three overtimes to beat UTSA. And they only beat Rice by one touchdown (Houston also lost to Texas Tech).
Duke is 3-1, but that record is a bit misleading. Their wins this season are against Temple, North Carolina A&T, and a really bad Northwestern team.
Tennessee, meanwhile, has wins against two ranked teams (Pittsburgh and Florida) and one of those wins came on the road (against Pitt).
(Not to go too far down this road, but Pittsburgh beat West Virginia earlier this season.)
I don't see how a couple of wins over unranked teams is a "better resumé" than wins over two ranked teams.
Tennessee might be ranked a bit too high right now — rankings don't mean much until late in the season — but I don't think there's any doubt that they're a better team than Kansas.
Kanell is famous for his anti-SEC bias. And this bizarre statement from him seemingly confirms that bias.
