Former Tennessee Vols running back Alvin Kamara is the most recognizable VFL that's currently playing in the NFL.
Kamara, who was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, is one of the most popular players in football. He's an electric running back who has already reached four Pro-Bowls.
Suffice it to say, he's an asset to Tennessee.
He's also a smart football player. And he knows what works and what doesn't work.
That's why it's a good sign for the Vols that new UT head coach Josh Heupel received a stamp of approval from Kamara this week.

Kamara, who was in Knoxville this past weekend promoting the new DICK'S House of Sport, spoke with CBS Sports about various topics, including Heupel and Tennessee.
"I like Heup, he's got good energy," said Kamara to CBS Sports. "I think he wants to come in and understand the players, understand the culture here at Tennessee and not try to create a new one. I think he wants to get in line with what's been going on and try to fill the void with what the need has been."
"Me and him talked for a while and he has a lot of great ideas," added Kamara. "The whole staff is great, I'm sure they gel together well. So I'm just excited to see what they do in the fall."
We'll see how Kamara feels about Heupel in a few years. But for now, it's certainly encouraging for the future of Tennessee football that Kamara is on board with the Vols' hire of Heupel.
