Well, based on the first few hours after the news broke on his deal with the Tennesee Titans, it looks like DeAndre Hopkins will fit right in with the franchise. That's at least based on his social media habit.
The three-time All-Pro is already doing his best impression of former Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown on Twitter as he recently deleted a tweet in which he appeared to go after a random New England Patriots fan who seemed to be hating on him (make sure to stick around for all of the context).
Hopkins has since deleted the tweet which accused fan and podcast host"Babz" of being "the one talking bad about Tom (Brady) when he left too."
Titans fans seeing D-Hop's brief outrage on Twitter surely were reminded of A.J. Brown, who had to delete impulsive tweets more than once.
During the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Brown tweeted "It wasn't my fault" referring to his departure from Tennessee before quickly deleting it. That wasn't the only tweet he deleted that night as he also sarcastically posted "I finally went in the first round" following the Treylon Burks pick.
Brown also deleted a tweet in 2019 where he appeared to be providing a health update after being pulled from an OTAs practice.
But beyond the deleted tweets, Titans fans know Brown won't be shy on social media as he easily claps back in arguments and goes after fans of his former team.
Hopkins seems to be willing to do the same when needed. However, it should be noted that Sunday's incident was later cleared up after the new Titan found out the tweet he responded to was meant to be sarcastic. He even reached out to Babz afterward to clear the air.
So while Hopkins seems to be willing to stand up for himself, he showed he can be a class act.
One thing is for sure: Titans fans with a Twitter account would be wise to give him a follow to not miss out.
Stats that DeAndre Hopkins needs to meet all his Titans contract incentives
He’s got clear goals now.
