DeAndre Hopkins visit Tennessee Titans NFL football stats news

Sunday has the potential to be one of the most pivotal days in recent memory for the Tennessee Titans. That is because superstar wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was in town for his scheduled visit.

The Titans are the first stop in Hopkins’ free agency tour with a trip up to New England deck.

Hopkins arrived in style according to a video he posted to his Instagram story. Below is video evidence of Hopkins in Nashville.

The familiarity between Hopkins and the Titans is well documented, and could play a major role in landing the five-time Pro Bowler. Head coach Mike Vrabel (2014-2017) and offensive coordinator Tim Kelly (2014-2019) each spent time alongside D-Hop in Houston while serving in multiple roles on the coaching staff.

Hopkins would immediately become Tennessee’s top option at wide receiver, which isn’t saying much. The 31-year-old is coming off a 2022 campaign in which he hauled in 64 receptions for 717 yards and three receiving touchdowns in nine games with the Arizona Cardinals.

He was on pace to accumulate 1,354 receiving yards in a 17-game span, but missed six games due to suspension and was held out of the team’s final two contests as a precaution.

Titans general manager Ran Carthon hasn’t yet made a huge splash in his first offseason in the new role. Adding Hopkins would not only place a magnificent feather in Carthon’s cap, but it would result in raised expectations for a 2023 season that most fans had already written off as a transition year.
