The Tennessee Titans are favorites to win their Week 1 matchup against the New York Giants. Unfortunately, they are also the clear pick for national media outlets. Folks on NFL Network are known to have a jinx effect on many teams, especially Tennessee.
As you can see, all of the analysts that chose a winner picked the Titans. It makes plenty of sense. The Giants have a new coaching staff, and the Titans are the more talented team across the board, mostly.
The Giants do not have a favorable linebacker core to keep Derrick Henry in check. Plus, they are thin at cornerback. The Titans could get a breakout game from wide receiver Robert Woods or Treylon Burks. Keep an eye on Kyle Philips as well.
Regardless, these picks certainly scare Titans' fans. They know that this type of thing has backfired for their favorite team in the past. Hopefully, Tennessee can break the jinx this time.
