A day of celebration at the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl celebration on Wednesday turned into a horrific scene as shots were fired, wounding at least 9 with one person confirmed deceased and several others injured.
Amidst the horrific scene, Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Trey Smith, a former Tennessee Vols standout, was a calming presence.
According to NFL reporter Albert Breer, Smith helped calm one child down, giving him the "championship belt" that he was carrying around during the parade, and sitting with the child.

Just an awful situation all the way around. Good on Smith for showing up as a hero for a kid (among numerous kids) who should never have to be exposed to such a horrific scene.
