The Tennessee Vols are hoping to swipe a five-star recruit from the Oregon Ducks.

2027 five-star wide receiver Kesean Bowman, 6-foot-1/174 lbs from Brentwood, TN, has been committed to Oregon since late July, but he’s still listening to what other programs have to say.

Bowman is set to visit Ohio State this weekend for the Buckeyes’ huge season-opener against the Texas Longhorns.

The five-star recruit will then head to Tennessee in Week 3 for the Vols’ showdown in Neyland Stadium against the Georgia Bulldogs.

“They recruit me as hard as Oregon,” said Bowman to On3 of his interest in Tennessee. “It’s the hometown team. They show a lot of love when I go down there. I also have a lot of good relationships with the coaches over there as well. That’s why Tennessee is pretty high up there as well.”

Bowman is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 2 player in the state of Tennessee and the No. 6 wide receiver in the 2027 recruiting class.

The coveted recruit is also set to visit Oregon for three games this fall (oddly enough, Bowman noted to On3 that he hasn’t been to a Ducks game yet).

Bowman is still committed to Oregon, but the Vols have a legitimate chance to flip the talented recruit in large part because he’s an in-state player.
