Tennessee Vols redshirt junior wide receiver Chris Brazzell had the best game of his college football career last weekend in UT’s 44-41 overtime loss to the Georgia Bulldogs.
Brazzell, who is in his second season at Tennessee after transferring from Tulane, caught six passes for 177 yards and three touchdowns against a stout Georgia defense.
The Texas native is starting to receive some heavy NFL draft hype thanks to his performance against the Bulldogs.
The Athletic predicts that Tennessee WR Chris Brazzell will have another big game against UAB
The Athletic made some “oddly specific predictions” for Week 4 of the college football season. One of their predictions is that Brazzell will have another huge game this weekend against UAB.
“Normally, I’d stay away from betting on a receiver to put together back-to-back monster performances,” wrote The Athletic’s Manny Navarro. “But Tennessee’s opponent this week, UAB, just got torched by Akron at home. Brazzell catches seven passes for 180-plus yards and two-plus scores, and Tennessee takes out its frustrations following a loss to Georgia.”
Brazzell certainly looks like he’s taken a huge leap forward in Tennessee’s offense. The former Tulane standout has the ideal size (6-foot-5) and athleticism to be an NFL wide receiver. If Brazzell continues to impress on Saturdays, he should hear his name called fairly early in the 2026 NFL Draft.
