Coveted 4-star recruit says the Tennessee Vols are ‘number one’ in his recruitment

The Tennessee Vols are the team to beat for a coveted 2028 four-star recruit from Georgia.
2028 four-star wide receiver Zyon Robinson told On3 this week that Tennessee is “number one” in his recruitment.
“Tennessee is number one for me,” said Robinson to On3. “Their whole coaching staff checks on me and my family daily. When I look at a college, it has to feel like family, and Tennessee fits that perfectly.”
Robinson, 6-foot-1/175 pounds from Stockbridge, GA, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 21 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 12 player in the state of Georgia. He’s also rated as the No. 126 overall player in the 2028 recruiting class.
Other SEC teams are also in the mix for Zyon Robinson
While the Vols are currently the team to beat for Robinson, they aren’t alone in this recruiting battle.
The Florida Gators and the Texas A&M Aggies are also very much in the mix for Robinson.
“Florida is number two,” said Robinson to On3. “Florida feels like family too — the coaches are cool and I can sit there and laugh with them…Texas A&M is up there too.”
Vols wide receivers coach Kelsey Pope has quickly proven himself as one of the best recruiters in the nation. So it’s not a surprise that Tennessee is pacing Robinson’s recruitment. But there’s still a long way to go in this battle, so the Vols will need to continue to show the four-star recruit plenty of love.
Robinson is planning to take a visit to Tennessee this spring.
