Former Tennessee Vols offensive lineman Trey Smith, who is in his fourth season with the Kansas City Chiefs, makes it back to Knoxville every chance he gets — which isn't too often during the regular season thanks to the NFL schedule.

This past weekend, however, Smith made it back to Tennessee during the Chiefs' bye week.

While back on Rocky Top, Smith joined the Everything Orange podcast and he was asked about his favorite food spots in Knoxville.

Smith quickly named his favorite place to get wings in Knoxville, before rattling off some other places he enjoys.

"Well, if I'm back in Knoxville, I gotta hit my favorite wing place, Big Kahuna Wings," said Smith. "So I gotta go to Big Kahuna. I've gotta knock that off the list. Another place that's sort of become a tradition for me is Lonesome Dove….those two spots are key."

If there's someone I'm going to take wing suggestions from, it's Trey Smith.

The former Vol is a wing expert. He's even won a couple of wing eating contests in the past few years, including one that was hosted by Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce earlier this year. Smith also won a wing eating contest in Knoxville in 2020.
