Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Tayven Jackson is taking a visit to UCF on Friday according to a report from On3

Jackson is a former four-star recruit who signed with Tennessee during the 2022 recruiting cycle. He spent one season with the Vols before transferring to Indiana ahead of the 2023 season. Jackson re-entered the NCAA transfer portal following the 2024 season.

The former Vol saw limited action during his time at Indiana, but he played well this past season in the Hoosiers' win against Washington, passing for 124 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 17 yards and a touchdown (Jackson was playing in place of injured Indiana starting quarterback Kurtis Rourke).

UCF could be an interesting landing spot for Jackson. The Knights recently hired McKenzie Milton as the program's quarterbacks coach. Milton is a former UCF quarterback who played for Scott Frost and Josh Heupel in Orlando (UCF rehired Frost as the program's head coach earlier this offseason). Milton served as an analyst at Tennessee in 2023 and 2024.

Jackson's time at Tennessee didn't overlap with Milton, but the connections between Jackson, Tennessee, Milton, UCF, Heupel, and Frost are obvious (college football can be a small world).

On3's report indicated that UCF likes where they stand with Jackson.

Update:

Jackson committed to UCF on Friday afternoon.
