Former Tennessee Vols outfielder Jordan Beck received some tough news this past weekend after making a great play for the Colorado Rockies.

The former Vol made a terrific diving catch while playing left field for the Rockies on Saturday night, robbing Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos of a hit.

Unfortunately for Beck, he suffered a broken hand as a result of his highlight-reel catch.

The Rockies announced on Sunday that Beck will be placed on the 10-Day IL with a left-hand fracture.

There's no clear timetable for Beck's return, though the expectation is that he'll miss at least 4 to 6 weeks.

Beck, a first round selection by the Rockies in the 2022 MLB Draft, made his MLB debut earlier this season.

The former Vol was hitting .190 with two home runs, 8 RBIs, and two stolen bases through his first 23 games with the Rockies.
