A former Tennessee Vols quarterback is reportedly joining the Buffalo Bills’ coaching staff under new head coach Joe Brady.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday afternoon that Buffalo is hiring former Vols quarterback Bo Hardegree as the franchise’s quarterbacks coach.

Hardegree, who played at Tennessee from 2003 to 2006, most recently served as the Tennessee Titans’ quarterbacks coach.

Rapoport noted that Hardegree was “coveted for this role”.

Hardegree, who had served as the quarterbacks coach for the Tennessee Titans since the start of the 2024 season, took over as the franchise’s offensive playcaller at one point last season before head coach Brian Callahan was fired.

“Bo’s had some interim experience calling [plays], he’s done it with a rookie quarterback before,” said Callahan when he announced the change. “That part will make it a little bit seamless in that regard.”

Hardegree and Brady haven’t crossed paths before, but they both previously spent time working at LSU (Hadegree from 2011 to 2013 and Brady in 2019).
