Former Tennessee Vols defensive back Boo Carter is expected to have a new home in college football in the not-too-distant future.
And the current leader in the clubhouse to land the former Vol won’t come as a surprise to Tennessee fans.
Deion Sanders and Colorado predicted to land Boo Carter
On3’s Pete Nakos and Steve Wiltfong predicted on Saturday that Carter will transfer to Colorado.
Carter is currently on a visit to Colorado.
“Sources tell On3’s Steve Wiltfong and I that the Buffaloes are the team to beat,” wrote Nakos. “We have logged predictions for Carter to land with Deion Sanders in Boulder.”
Colorado was a major factor for Carter during his recruitment — and the Buffaloes were also in the picture when Carter nearly transferred after his true freshman season at Tennessee.
When Carter officially entered the portal last week, Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes were immediately viewed as the favorites.
Carter, a former four-star recruit, is looking for a new home after a messy breakup with Tennessee.
The Chattanooga native missed several team activities during the summer, which angered some of Tennessee’s team leaders.
Carter was dismissed from Tennessee’s football team after he failed to show up for the Vols’ homecoming game against New Mexico State in November.
The former Vol has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Update:
Carter officially committed to Colorado on Saturday evening.
