The close friendship between Tennessee Vols quarterbacks Hendon Hooker and Joe Milton has been discussed at length over the last couple of months.

Despite competing directly with each other to be the Vols' starting quarterback the last two seasons, the two developed a close friendship that led to Milton saying in late November that blood wouldn't make them any closer.

So it shouldn't come as a surprise that Hooker, who is currently preparing for the 2023 NFL Draft while also recovering from a torn ACL, said on Wednesday morning during an appearance on 104.5 The Zone's "Ramon, Kayla, and Will" that he plans to be at Tennessee's spring game to support Milton.

And he'll be wearing a Milton jersey with the "hope" of getting it autographed.

"I'm getting goosebumps right now because I'm excited to watch my man Joe throw that thing around," said Hooker. "I told him I'm coming to the spring game in a Joe Milton jersey. And he better autograph it or we're going to have some problems."

"I'm excited for him, I'm excited for his supporting cast," added Hooker. "He's got some wideouts coming in. We got some weapons coming in also from the transfer portal. Also some freshmen. Little Nico (Iamaleava) is going to learn a lot from Joe. I'm excited to see him take the reigns when Joe is gone after next year."

Tennessee's spring game on April 15 is just a couple of weeks before the 2023 NFL Draft, but it sounds like Hooker will be in Knoxville to cheer on his former teammates in what we'll be the public's first look at the 2023 Volunteers.
