The Tennessee Vols lost a key offensive analyst to UCF this week.

Vols offensive analyst McKenzie Milton announced on Tuesday that he's leaving Rocky Top to become the new quarterbacks coach at UCF.

Milton served as an analyst at Tennessee from 2023 to 2024.

Milton is a former UCF quarterback who spent five seasons in Orlando. He played for Scott Frost in 2016 and 2017 before playing for current Vols head coach Josh Heupel from 2018 to 2020. He spent his final season of eligibility at Florida State in 2021.

Earlier this month, UCF announced the return of Frost who will replace Gus Malzahn as the Knights' head coach.

"McKenzie represents everything that is great about college football," said Heupel of Milton in 2023. "His perseverance, determination and leadership are attributes that made him successful as a player and will no doubt translate to him being an outstanding future coach."

Milton will be a name to watch in the future if the Vols have an offensive staff opening.
