Forde consistently takes shots at the Vols and he was at it again this week.
While previewing some of the "grudge matches" in Week 8 of the college football season, Forde, for some reason, decided to take a few more shots at Tennessee fans for rushing the field after their thrilling win against Alabama last season.
From SI.com: The Neyland Stadium field storm was a wild one, with many of the Alabama players and staff having to navigate the chaotic scene to get to the locker room. Administrators at ‘Bama and other SEC schools were less than pleased with UT system president Randy Boyd’s response to the fine coming Tennessee’s way for violating safety protocol: "It doesn’t matter,” Boyd said. “We’re doing this every year.”
Since schools are supposed to at least feign concern for the safety of those on the field in such a melee, that was not the desired response. That helped spur the SEC to dramatically elevate fines for field storming for this season.
What has to happen to evict Tennessee from renting Alabama’s brain: A Crimson Tide victory in Bryant-Denny Stadium—followed by a non-field storm—would do the trick.
It's kind of hilarious that Forde is still taking shots at Tennessee's field storming in the name of "safety", as if Vols fans are the only fans to ever storm the field after a big win (and remember, it was a female Tennessee fan that was punched/slapped by an Alabama player, who was never disciplined by the SEC or Alabama).
Just last season, LSU stormed the field after beating Ole Miss (even Tigers head coach Brian Kelly thought that one was odd). LSU also stormed the field after their win against Alabama last season. Duke fans did it earlier this year as well — when the Blue Devils beat Clemson in Durham.
When Louisville stormed the field earlier this year after their win against Notre Dame, Forde was there and he seemed to take no issue with it (Forde covered Louisville back in the day, by the way).

Forde, as we all know by now, clearly has a personal vendetta against Tennessee and the Vols fan base. Because it's clear that he's not covering every college football program with the same level of objectivity.
