The Tennessee Vols are one of the top six schools for one of the best players in the state of Ohio.

2027 four-star EDGE Antwoine Higgins included Tennessee among his top schools this week, along with Alabama, Ole Miss, Indiana, Texas A&M, and Syracuse.

“The culture, energy, and how real the staff is with me,” said Higgins to On3 of his interest in the Vols. “They believe in my development and compete at a high level every week.”

The four-star recruit told On3 that Texas A&M, Indiana, and Tennessee are the three schools that have “separated themselves”.

Ohio State isn’t one of Antwoine Higgins’ top schools

Higgins, 6-foot-3/215 pounds from Cincinnati, OH, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 3 player in the state of Ohio and the No. 190 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.

Notably, Ohio State is not one of the Higgins’ top schools, despite the fact that the Buckeyes have offered him.

One reason that Ohio State isn’t more of factor (at this point) is likely because the Buckeyes offered him as a middle linebacker, while other schools are recruiting Higgins as an EDGE.

Higgins doesn’t currently have a planned commitment date.
