Tennessee Vols sophomore defensive back Boo Carter was spotted with his teammates at practice on Wednesday morning, just a day after Josh Heupel announced that the former four-star recruit is still a member of the UT football team.

Carter’s status with the program was up in the air over the last couple of weeks after he missed numerous team activities over the summer.

The Chattanooga native was seen going through stretches with his teammates on Wednesday.

Carter wasn’t wearing a helmet during the stretches, unlike his teammates.

Carter still has “some things” he needs to do to get back on the field full-time for the Volunteers, but his road to returning to a key role for Tennessee in 2025 is officially underway.

And that’s good news for the Vols. When Carter is on the field, he’s one of the most dynamic players in the nation.
