A Tennessee Vols defensive lineman announced on Tuesday that he plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Trevor Duncan tweeted on Tuesday that he’s entering the portal.

“I am Grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the University of Tennessee’s football program and thankful for the coaches, teammates, and staff who supported my development on and off the field,” wrote Duncan. “After much thought, I have decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal. I am now open to exploring new opportunities and excited to find the best fit moving forward.”

Duncan, who is from Knoxville, signed with Tennessee as a three-star recruit during the 2023 recruiting cycle.

Trevor Duncan previously indicated that he was medically retiring from football

Earlier this year, Duncan indicated he was medically retiring from football. He wasn’t listed on Tennessee’s official 2025 roster.

Duncan, who started his career as an offensive lineman, didn’t record any stats during his time with the Vols.

The Vols have lost a few players to the transfer portal this month. But to this point, Tennessee hasn’t lost any starters.
