The Tennessee Vols have a "sneaky good chance" to land one of the top-rated 2022 offensive linemen in the nation.
Rivals national recruiting director Adam Gorney "ranked the contenders" for four-star offensive tackle Ryan Brubaker this week and he has the Vols as the No. 4 most likely program to land the talented 2022 recruit.
Gorney has Penn State as the No. 1 contender for Brubaker.
However, while Tennessee isn't near the top of Gorney's list of contenders for Brubaker, he acknowledged that the Vols could easily be listed higher.
"Tennessee could be higher on this list – maybe even second behind Penn State – and has a sneaky good chance to land Brubaker, especially if he loves his visit to Knoxville later in June," wrote Gorney. "Brubaker is an offensive tackle who has versatility and can move fast in coach Josh Heupel’s offense."
"The four-star’s relationship with position coach Glen Elarbee is one of the strongest in his recruitment," added Gorney.
Brubaker, 6-foot-6/280 lbs from Denver, PA, spoke with Rivals earlier this month about his interest in Tennessee.
"Tennessee was interesting how that came about, mainly because of their quickness," explained Brubaker. "As soon as that staff was hired and brought on, they offered and just made it very clear that I'm the type of player that they're looking for."
The Pennsylvania native is rated as the No. 25 offensive tackle in the nation.
Brubaker is a Penn State legacy, but the Nittany Lions are far from a lock to land the elite offensive lineman.
