The Tennessee Vols could be on the verge of adding a key player to their 2026 recruiting class.
According to 247Sports' Tom Loy, the Vols made a big move with 2026 four-star linebacker TJ White this past weekend.
White, 6-foot-2/220 lbs from Jackson, MS, is rated as the No. 10 linebacker in the nation and the No. 8 player in the state of Mississippi. He's also rated as the No. 155 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.
"Sources have informed 247Sports that Tennessee is in a great spot with Jackson Academy three-star linebacker TJ White," wrote Loy. "The 6-2, 220-pounder is a priority target for the Volunteers coaching staff and one the coaches would love to land sooner rather than later."
Wisconsin, Florida State, and Mississippi State are also in the mix for the talented linebacker.
White is set to return to Tennessee for an official visit on June 13 (he's also scheduled to take official visits to Wisconsin, Florida State, and Mississippi State).
It wouldn't be a surprise if White commits to Tennessee ahead of those visits. But even if he doesn't, it sounds like the Vols are in a good spot for the coveted linebacker.
