On3's Pete Nakos made a prediction on Tuesday for the Tennessee Vols to land a defensive lineman out of the NCAA transfer portal.

Nakos predicted that Tennessee will land Grand Valley State defensive lineman Josh Schell, though he noted that his confidence level in that prediction is "low".

"Josh Schell visited Tennessee on Sunday, and the Volunteers sit in a good spot to add a depth piece to their defensive line…The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Schell has already visited UCF and SMU and Kentucky are also in the mix," wrote Nakos. "But the chance to be at Tennessee could be too much to turn down for Schell."

Schell, 6-foot-3/290 lbs from Mt Pleasant, MI, is a former two-star recruit who also played baseball at Grand Valley State after originally signing with Army out of high school.

The Michigan native has totaled 46 career tackles and 3 tackles for loss in his college career.

Tennessee is in need of some defensive line depth after losing a couple of key defensive linemen from last year's team that reached the College Football Playoff (such as Omari Thomas and Omarr Norman-Lott).
