Faizon Brandon

If Tennessee Vols fans weren't already excited about five-star quarterback commit Faizon Brandon, they certainly are after seeing a throw he made at the Elite 11 Finals on Thursday.

Brandon, a Vols commit since last August, threaded the needle during a 7-on-7 rep for a perfectly placed touchdown.

Here are a couple of angles of the throw.

That second angle really shows just how perfectly placed that pass was from Brandon — just out of reach for the defender and right into the receiver's hands.

I know the players aren't in pads, and I know there isn't a pass rush, but that's still elite ball placement from Brandon. And look, if you can't do it in a 7-on-7 setting, then you definitely can't do it in an 11-on-11 setting. So while that throw doesn't guarantee that Brandon is going to be a superstar in the SEC, it at least shows that he has high-level passing skills.

Brandon, who is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 player in the 2026 recruiting class, could've easily skipped out on the Elite 11 finals — he has nothing to gain by participating. But the future Vol wanted to compete with and against some of the top players in his class.
