The Tennessee Vols were off this week, but they could still make a move in the new AP Top 25 poll that will be released on Sunday afternoon.

In fact, that's what 247Sports thinks will happen. Though they aren't predicting Tennessee to make too big of a jump in the rankings this week.

247Sports took a shot at predicting the new AP Top 25 poll for this week and they have Tennessee moving up from No. 22 to No. 21.

They think Notre Dame will fall to No. 22 after their loss to Louisville. But they also think LSU, which has two losses, will jump Tennessee after their win against Missouri (Mizzou was always a bit overrated due to their win against a not-as-good as expected Kansas State team earlier this season).

I would probably move Tennessee to No. 20.

Miami should fall from No. 17 to below the Vols after their embarrassing loss to Georgia Tech.

Kentucky should also fall below Tennessee from No. 20 after their blowout loss to Georgia.

Missouri should fall as well from No. 21.

Louisville, however, should jump Tennessee after their win against Notre Dame. The Cardinals were ranked No. 25 entering week 6.

So the ranking really comes down to whether or not a two-loss LSU team should jump Tennessee.

LSU has three SEC wins but they have the losses to Florida State and Ole Miss. The Vols have one SEC win and a win against Virginia, plus the loss to Florida. It's really a coin flip if we're being objective. And I'm guessing that 247Sports will probably be correct with their prediction that Tennessee goes to No. 21.

(Washington State will fall from No. 13 after their loss to UCLA, but I don't think voters will move an idle Tennessee team over the Cougars in their rankings.)
