Tennessee Vols guard Kennedy Chandler made sure forward John Fulkerson got his moment on Sunday after UT's win against Texas A&M in the SEC Tournament.
When the Vols were getting ready to cut down the nets, Chandler was the one that motioned for Fulkerson to cut down the first piece.
It was great to see Chandler, a true freshman, recognize what needed to be done in that moment.
Fulkerson signed with Tennessee in 2015. The Kingsport native has been with the Vols for six seasons. And he has a deep love for Tennessee athletics. He deserved that moment as much as anyone.
By the way, Vols head coach Rick Barnes didn't let Fulkerson leave Tampa without cracking at least one joke about how long Fulky has been at Tennessee.
"I've been at the University of Tennessee for seven years. He's been here for six of them," said Barnes after the win.
Tennessee basketball games certainly won't be the same without Fulkerson next year.
