247Sports revealed their latest college football uniform rankings this week and the Tennessee Vols didn't rank nearly as high as you'd expect.
The national sports media outlet has the Vols' classic uniforms ranked at No. 23.
Here are the SEC teams that were ranked above Tennessee.
- 18. Florida Gators
- 17. Ole Miss Rebels
- 14. Auburn Tigers
- 10. Alabama Crimson Tide
- 9. Georgia Bulldogs
- 3. LSU Tigers
Here's what 247Sports said about Tennessee's uniforms:
Tennessee has experimented with Smokey Grey alternates in recent years and the fans love them, but black is the new alternate color expected to return in grand fashion for the 2022 season. At UCF, Josh Heupel and the Knights led the uniform craze with Nike and he's been unafraid to make subtle changes in Knoxville while keeping the recognizable 'Block T' as the featured logo. When you hear the phrase "orange and white," you think Tennessee.

There's no reason in getting too upset about uniform rankings — they're completely subjective.
But I'm surprised that Tennessee's aren't ranked higher. The Orange and White look is iconic. When you glance at a television, you instantly know it's the Vols when you see the Orange.
The biggest issue with this list, however, is the fact that Georgia's extremely bland uniforms are ranked No. 9. If anything, they should be ranked dead last in the SEC. There's nothing special about Georgia's red uniforms and the "G" logo that they ripped off from the Green Bay Packers. You could go to any county in America and see a similar uniform on a Friday night in the fall.
If the Bulldogs weren't the defending back-to-back champs, I don't think they land this high on the list.
