Height, Weight: 6-2, 193
Age: N/A
Strengths
- Physical: From a length and play strength perspective, you’ll be hard pressed to find much better than Revel. His work at the line of scrimmage and at the catch point are some of his biggest strong points.
- Competitiveness: Revel plays well in competitive situations. He disrupts well at the catch point, and plays with tremendous effort.
- Ball Skills: In terms of ball skills, Revel has shown the flashes to contort his body and locate the football in the air. Doesn’t always attack the ball well, and has inconsistent hands.
- Man Coverage: There may not be a better man cover cornerback in this class. Revel is long, has tremendous speed and possesses the change of direction to counter a ton of different body types.
- Zone Coverage: Zone eyes are inconsistent for Revel. He can lose track and spacing and get himself out of position at times.
- Upside: If developed properly, Revel could quickly become a team’s No. 1 cornerback. His combination of height-weight-speed is outstanding.
Areas of Improvement:
- Run Game: Revel has the play strength to work off of blocks, but his tackling is very inconsistent. He needs to wrap up better. Has to get ball carriers on the ground more consistently.
- Overall Instincts: There are instances where Revel can lose track of where he’s at on the football field. He excels in man reps, but doesn’t always play with as much proactiveness as you would like.
Evaluation
If he is developed properly, Revel could end up being the top overall cover cornerback in the 2025 NFL Draft class. In a lot of ways, his game is eerily reminiscent of former Pro Bowl cornerback Antonio Cromartie. Revel can run with anyone, and his play strength and length can match up well against bigger wide receivers. For a man heavy team, there is Pro Bowl upside, which should make Revel a strong candidate to go in the first round despite the torn ACL. Some of the flashes he has are about as good as you will find.
