Former Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey absolutely dazzled evaluators at the 2024 NFL Combine.

McConkey first ran a 4.40-second 40-yard dash before pulling off an astonishing official 4.39-second 40 on his final attempt, which is tied for third among all wide receivers tied for sixth among all players to run the 40 this week.

McConkey also had a 10-foot-4 broad jump and a 36-inch vertical jump.

On paper, McConkey's official Combine results look nearly identical to New York Jets' 2022 first-round pick Garrett Wilson.

But ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit sees him looking more like this year's Puka Nacua –aka a hidden gem– in the upcoming NFL draft.

The former Washington product only ran a 4.57 in the 40-yard dash at last year's Combine but proved he was much faster than that at the next level.

As a fifth-round pick of the Los Angeles Rams in 2023, Nacua finished second to C.J. Stroud for NFL Rookie of the Year after he achieved a new NFL rookie record of 105 receptions for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns through 17 starts.

Similar to Nacua, McConkey was an underrated draft prospect ahead of the Combine and considered the fifth-best receiver in this year's draft class.

But the biggest difference between the two is that McConkey may have boosted his draft stock from a Round 2 prospect to a Round 1 option following a solid performance at the NFL Combine.
