The New York Giants continue to show their hand with NFL Draft interests. For months the team spent the majority of draft season meeting with first or second round quarterbacks and wide receivers. That made sense given their clear and dire need at both positions. They're now up to over a dozen private formal meetings with quarterbacks, and just shy of double-digits with wide receivers. But now, with Darren Waller's potential retirement still looming, general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll have pivoted to tight ends.

Just this week they sent their tight ends coach Tim Kelly to Brock Bowers' rescheduled pro day (since he had a hamstring issue during Georgia's pro day), which led to some immediate buzz that he may be a first round target for the team. Now they've already met with another potentially elite tight end, albeit this time with a slightly later NFL Draft projection.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Ben Sinnott, TE Kansas State joined the Giants for a pre-draft visit today. Sinnott posted a 91st percentile A to Z Athletic Composite Score and has been rising up NFL Draft boards for many analysts ever since.

Ben Sinnott went from walk-on tight end at Kansas State to one of the most electric receiving tight ends in the nation in just three short years. Sinnott caught 80 receptions for over 1100 yards in his last two seasons for the Wildcats, dominating as their de facto WR1 for much of the time.

Since he tested so well at the NFL Combine, Sinnott has gone from an early day three projection to an easy day two pick according to the latest 150+ mock drafts. If the Giants are to draft him it would likely have to come via their round three selection at pick 70. That may seem early in a class that doesn't have many star tight ends, but who wouldn't want a stud athlete like Ben Sinnott with elite touchdown celebration skills that he displays in this post below?

The Giants still may end up drafting Brock Bowers given his potentially generational talent and track record, but if they don't then Sinnott would be more than an excellent consolation prize in round three. Drafting tight end in round three would allow them to target both quarterback and wide receiver in the first two rounds if they wanted to completely revamp their offense (which is badly needed).

Keep an eye on the Giants' final few visits. It certainly looks like they're leaning tight end in the early to mid rounds now.
