Pittsburgh Steelers 7 round 2025 NFL mock draft: Can Mike Tomlin run it back after dismal 2024 season?

The 2024 season felt like another disappointing status quo for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who now have to deal with plenty of questions surrounding the future of the franchise.

With no quarterback under contract for next season, a lack of playmakers on offense, and an aging defense, the Steelers feel like a franchise in flux. How can they attack the 2025 NFL Draft to get things back on track?

Pittsburgh Steelers 7 round 2025 NFL mock draft

Round 1, Pick 21: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

The Steelers' outside cornerbacks allowed the third-most yards in the NFL last season. Donte Jackson struggled outside and Joey Porter Jr regressed in his second year. Pittsburgh needs to address this moving forward if they want to keep up in the AFC.

Benjamin Morrison is a lengthy ballhawk who should help solidify the Steelers' secondary.

Round 2, Pick 52: Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford

Between George Pickens' antics and the rest of the room, the Steelers receiver corps was a disappointment this season. Only three teams had fewer receiving yards out of their wide receivers and the Steelers were tied for 31st in receiving touchdowns from this room as well.

Elic Ayomanor is an overlooked receiver in this class, coming from a dismal Stanford offense. He is a terrific H/W/S style of wide receiver who is arguably the best run blocker in this class.

Round 3, Pick 83: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss

The Steelers have no real option at quarterback under contract. Russell Wilson will be 38 years old, Justin Fields proved he wasn't worthy of consideration, and they aren't picking high enough to take a quarterback of note.

Jaxson Dart is a bit overhyped right now, but in this class, you take what you can get and Pittsburgh is running out of options.

Round 4, Pick 121: Damien Martinez, RB, Miami (FL)

Najee Harris is set to be a free agent, while Jaylen Warren took a step back this season. The Steelers should add to their stable of running backs to replenish the talent in the room.

Damien Martinez wasn't as productive this season at Miami as he was at Oregon State, but he is a physical, athletic back who fits into Pittsburgh's offense well.

Round 5, Pick 161: Ricky White, WR, UNLV

With a clear need at the position and the number of players here set to hit free agency, Pittsburgh should double-dip into adding wide receivers in the draft.

Ricky White is one of the most productive wide receivers in this class with good length and after the catch ability. His four blocked punts give him special teams value as well.

Round 7, Pick 223: Shaun Dolac, LB, Buffalo

Here in the seventh round, we're not looking for any starters. However, the Steelers have Elandon Roberts and Tyler Matekavich set to hit free agency. As Payton Wilson steps up to being a full-time starter, the Steelers can let them walk and add another productive tackler to fill the role left behind by Roberts and Matekavich.

I'm not sure if Shaun Dolac is an NFL athlete, but his film is riddled with physical hit sticks and sure tackling.

Round 7, Pick 229: Garnett Hollis Jr., CB, West Virginia

Just like wide receiver, let's double-dip at cornerback here and add some depth to the room.

Garnett Hollis is a fluid man coverage athlete with good physicality at the catch point.

Round 7, Pick 243: Carson Voisin, OT, Alabama A&M

Both players who took snaps at left tackle this season for Pittsburgh, Dan Moore & Calvin Anderson, are set to be free agents. While it seems like one of their young players, Broderick Jones or Troy Fautanu, will start at this spot next season, the Steelers need depth behind them.

Carson Voisin is a talented small-school prospect with good tools and terrific intangibles. He's worth a look to develop into a swing tackle.
