Now that the NFL Combine is behind us the top wide receiver rankings for the 2024 NFL Draft are becoming much more clear. After spending a week in Indianapolis talking with general managers, coaches, players, and other league staff here are my official Top 10 Wide Receiver Rankings as we head into the heart of NFL Draft season.

Top 10 Wide Receivers in the 2024 NFL Draft

  1. Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State
  2. Malik Nabers, LSU
  3. Rome Odunze, Washington
  4. Brian Thomas Jr., LSU
  5. Xavier Worthy, Texas
  6. Adonai Mitchell, Texas
  7. Troy Franklin, Oregon
  8. Jalen McMillan, Washington
  9. Roman Wilson, Michigan
  10. Ladd McConkey, Georgia

Nothing changed at the very top of the wide receiver rankings with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers sitting out of everything at the NFL Combine. However, if anyone had questions about Rome Odunze being included in the top tier at wide receiver they shouldn't any longer.

Tier 1 Wide Receivers

Marvin Harrison Jr. is a physical freak at the position, son of a Hall of Fame receiver, and just posted back to back seasons with 99th percentile production metrics. He is still the WR1 in this class, and everything I learned at the NFL Combine suggests that he will not be available below pick four overall in the draft.

Malik Nabers strangely deferred being measured and weighed at the NFL Combine on top of not participating in any of the drills. It would have been nice to see him challenge Xavier Worthy with his elite speed, but his body of work was so good that there was nothing to prove. Not a single wide receiver in the nation had a better production profile than Nabers last fall. Over four yards per team pass attempt with nearly 1600 total yards and 14 scores is hard to match. 100th percentile prospect in the most meaningful metrics.

Rome Odunze had a season nearly as impressive as Harrison and Nabers last fall. But this week he put the cherry on top by posting a 94th percentile A to Z Sports Athletic Composite Score. His size-adjusted speed, burst, and agility numbers were phenomenal at the NFL Combine.

It's quite likely all three receivers are off the board by pick seven of the NFL Draft.

Tier 2 Wide Receivers

Brian Thomas Jr. led the nation in receiving touchdowns last season with 17 and had been rising up mock draft boards for months, but after his dominant NFL Combine performance he seems like the clear WR4 in the class. His 98th percentile Speed Score and 85th percentile Burst Score made him the third most athletic receiver at the NFL Combine.

Xavier Worthy's record forty-yard dash time has several teams interested in selecting him early in the draft this year. Worthy's stock wasn't just tied to his forty time though. He has been special for years now. Worthy put up one of the most impressive true freshman seasons in the last decade back in 2021 and has only improved since.

Worthy's teammate Adonai Mitchell confirmed what we already knew to be true. He posted a 99th percentile Athletic Composite score after he ran a 4.34 forty-yard dash at 205 pounds and leaped 11'4" in the broad jump.

Troy Franklin weighed in a little light at the NFL Combine and didn't post the best size-adjusted testing numbers, but he still remains among top options in tier two because of his efficiency and on-field athleticism verified via spatial tracking data.

Best of the Rest

Jalen McMillan missed a good portion of last fall's season due to injury, but when he was healthy was nearly as impressive as Rome Odunze for Washington. His top notch Burst Score translates on field as he comes off the line and out of his breaks with force.

Roman Wilson and Ladd McConkey have consistently been winners throughout the draft process. They were the top two receivers at the Senior Bowl. Both of them ran a 4.39-second forty yard dash, proving their speed. And they both finished strong last fall for blue blood programs. It's likely Wilson and McConkey come off the board sometime in round two of the NFL Draft.
