Georgia Football is expected to be in the market for a new running backs coach.

According to Graham Coffey of The Players’ Lounge, Georgia's running backs coach/run-game coordinator Dell McGee is expected to become the next head coach at Georgia State.

Sources tell Coffey that an offer is on the table for McGee and a deal is "in the process" of being finalized. He would replace Shawn Elliott who left for the South Carolina Gamecocks tight ends coaching job.

McGee, a Columbus, GA native, has been serving the Bulldogs for nine years.

He's responsible for the development of many UGA star-turned-NFL rushers including, Nick Chubb of the Cleveland Browns, D’Andre Swift of the Philadelphia Eagles, James Cook of the Buffalo Bills, and former New England Patriots' Sony Michel to name a few.

Aside from McGee's remarkable coaching abilities, he's also highly regarded as one of the best recruiters in the state of Georgia and beyond.

His void will be another huge blow for the Dawgs as head coach Kirby Smart also looks to replace his wide receivers coach and their special teams coordinator/strength and conditioning coach.
