The Australian news stations have been busy the past few hours. And that is because Travis Kelce has officially landed in Sydney to join Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was videoed getting off the plane.
And the television stations went crazy with his arrival. It was literally on every single channel.
You would think it was the Pope arriving.
But for NFL fans, it is pretty cool to see the global reach Kelce has (Thanks Taylor).
Kelce was reported to be on his way, having left Los Angeles on Tuesday evening, before quickly stopped in Hawaii for an overnight stay. He then left for Sydney the next morning and has now touched down in the land down under.
He will join her for the next stop in Australia on her Eras Tour after having spent the past week in Melbourne. She played three shows in Melbourne in front of record crowds, with 288,000 people coming to see her across three days. It was the “biggest shows I’ve ever played on tour," she explained.
“The math is that it’s 288,000 people in three nights,” Swift said during one of her performances. “Melbourne, you are the love of my life. I cannot believe you, what have you done.”
And among those fans, some showed up in Kelce jerseys.
While he hasn't been with her, Swift is still representing her boyfriend and his team, having been spotted wearing the Super Bowl LVIII championship hat.
This is the second time Kelce will join Swift on tour, having also traveled with her in Buenos Aires, Argentina during the Chiefs bye week.
Not a bad way to spend the offseason.
