The Baltimore Ravens had quite the number of players on the PUP list as recently as last week. However, just two remain, and one of them took a huge step forward to returning on Monday.
Former first-round pick, wide receiver Rashod Bateman, was seen running on an adjacent field and looked good while doing so.
Bateman is still working back from multiple foot injuries that forced him to miss 11 games in 2022. He only amassed 15 receptions for 285 yards and two touchdowns.
Baltimore is hoping that Bateman can get back to the promise he showed as a rookie in 2021 as he racked up 46 receptions for 515 yards and a score. But Bateman missed the first five games with a groin injury, so his luck when it comes to availability hasn't been the best.
There's plenty of potential as to where Bateman can go as a receiver, he has a nice skill set. If he can just stay healthy in 2023, the attention that new additions of Odell Beckham Jr. and rookie Zay Flowers will get may allow him to make some noise.
