Primetime football in Buffalo is legendary.
The Buffalo Bills proved victorious against the Green Bay Packers.
Another game, another broken record. This time, the Bills ruined Rodgers' perfect record of 13-0 during primetime games.
While the offense sputtered at times, this was a total team victory.
Tempers flaring throughout the game
Before the game began, Bills Stefon Diggs and Packers Jaire Alexander had a few choice words.
The star players took it to the football field and were at each other's throats throughout the matchup.
Nearing the end of the first half, Packers rookie Quay Walker got up after a play and pushed a Bills coach, resulting in an almost immediate ejection.
The two teams were not a fan of one another, and they made sure everyone watching were aware of that.
Bills defense continues to dominate
To start the party, Tim Settle Jr. was on the board tallying his first sack as a Buffalo Bill.
The Packers could not convert after the sack, turning the ball over to Buffalo early in the matchup. A problem that would be consistent for Rodgers throughout the matchup.
Everything the Packers tried throwing the defenses way was swallowed up by the Bills' defensive front.
Greg Rousseau joined in on the fun with a sack of his own, breaking a personal record for the talented young player.
Seemingly the only thing that the Packers had working for them was the rushing game.
The Bills defense was bullied in that department, giving up
The Bills kept their 3rd quarter dominance intact, only allowing three points to the Rodgers-led Packers offense.
The Packers made the decision to try and run the clock out, down three scores. This allowed the defense to feast, causing turnovers and limiting points.
Matt Milano, who should absolutely be an All-Pro, got an interception off Rodgers midway through the fourth quarter.
As a unit, the defense finished allowing 398 total yards.
Josh Allen is human, does enough for the win
The frontrunner for MVP had a less-than-wonderful performance, but did just enough to secure the victory for Buffalo.
Early in the game, Allen showcased his athletic abilities with yet another impressive run.
Week in and out, Allen is responsible for some of the most jaw-dropping highlight reel plays and tonight was no exception.
Allen didn't have his most productive day on the field, but he did enough to secure the win. With two out-of-character interceptions, it wasn't his most successful day.
The Bills QB finished the day 218 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. The dual-threat quarterback added 49 yards on the ground.
Allen and Diggs are a perfect pair
Diggs and the Packers' defensive backs went back and forth all game, having a few choice words between what seemed like every play.
When Allen and Diggs connect, good things happen. Tonight was no different as Allen found Diggs for a beautiful touchdown.
Allen and Diggs are one of the best QB/WR duos in the NFL and for good reason, together the two are in the top five for multiple categories.
Diggs continued his impressive streak with 8 straight games with a touchdown against the Packers.
The star wide reciever finished the day with six catches for 108 yards and a touchdown.
The team finds its identity in the run game
Devin Singletary had his most impressive game this season. While Allen has been the leading rusher in most games this season, the Bills RB made his presence known.
Singletary started off in the first quarter with a long run, and the rest is history. Singletary was dominant on the ground throughout the matchup.
With the running game being a huge question mark surrounding this offense, it was a welcomed sight to see the team not rely so heavily on Allen's legs.
James Cook and Isaiah McKenzie made their presence known with their limited reps as well.
As a complete unit, the Bills managed to get 154 yards on the ground.
Aaron Rodgers struggles with limited weapons
The two-time MVP quarterback struggled against the impressive Bills defense. It did the quarterback no favors that his team was devastatingly light at wide reciever.
While he had his shortcomings during the game, Rodgers showed off why he has been such a successful QB with a highlight-reel touchdown.
Aside from that play early on, Rodgers struggled in the matchup. In fact, it appeared as though the Packers completely abandoned the passing game.
Down 10+ points, the Packers stuck to the run and wasn't able to overcome the Bills onslaught on offense.
Rodgers could be seen cursing on the sideline, letting his emotions take over after struggling on the field.
The quarterback managed to bring the game within ten points off a beautiful touchdown on a broken play.
Ultimately, it just wasn't enough. Rodgers finished his day with 203 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
What this means
Another win, another step closer to the playoffs running through Buffalo.
The ultimate goal is to secure the one seed and make their way to the Super Bowl.
Next up for Buffalo is an away game at their division rival Jets.
Tonight was a party, next week can't come soon enough.
Get ready Zach Wilson, the defense is chomping at the bit.
