The Buffalo Bills are gearing up for a primetime showdown against the Green Bay Packers.
Under the lights, in Buffalo, against one of the very best quarterbacks in football. This game has all the makings for a great Buffalo showcase.
Sean McDermott and company have had extra time to plan for the matchup, coming off their exciting victory against Kansas City.
With just a few hours until kickoff, here are a few important details about the game.
Sean McDermott is the real deal
The Bills' head coach has been, quite literally, unstoppable coming off the bye week.
McDermott has an impressive undefeated record (5-0) coming off the bye as the head coach for the Bills.
While this doesn't necessarily translate to anything on the field, it's an important statistic that McDermott will look to build upon.
The coaching staff for Buffalo is top-tier, and for good reason. The team will look to continue on their previous successes and secure yet another victory.
Additionally, and important to note, the Packers have never won in Buffalo. The Bills will look to keep the Packers' losing streak alive with a dominant performance.
The Josh Allen show
Perhaps the biggest impact on today's game will be Josh Allen.
Allen, in his fifth season, is being discussed as one of the best quarterbacks in football. The franchise quarterback is the front-runner for MVP, and for good reason.
The Packers' defense has been above-average this season and will give Allen a test on his own turf.
During the first five games this season, the Packers rank fifth in total yards, fourth in third-down defense, and second in pass defense.
However, Josh Allen has a history of carving up good defenses.
In fact, aside from the Chiefs game, Allen has faced a Pro Bowl defensive back in every matchup this season.
It's safe to say Allen has performed exceptionally well, regardless of what defense lines up against him.
The defense needs to keep up the momentum
The Buffalo Bills defense is on fire.
However, there have been a few key pieces missing from the unit. Micah Hyde suffered a season-ending injury and Tre White hasn't been able to see the field.
Even without two of their biggest pieces, Buffalo has retained a top-five defensive unit across the board.
With Rodgers' throwing to the likes of Sammy Watkins, Robert Tonyan, and Christian Watson, the Bills' young secondary will look to feast early and often.
Oh, and don't forget about Von Miller and the impressive defensive line.
Either way, it will undoubtedly be a challenge for Rodgers and the Packers.
Get the tables ready, it's almost time for kickoff.
