Bills Mafia gets yet another win as Tom Brady is forced to eat his words after team mounts valiant comeback against the Patriots
Not a good day for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
Anytime that Tom Brady can get embarrassed by Buffalo is a good day for the Bills Mafia. The fanbase knows it didn’t happen too often when he played them on gameday, so getting a win over the former Patriots quarterback in any way is a good feeling.
Everyone knows by now that the Buffalo Bills mounted a comeback over the New England Patriots after being down 21 points and with all hope feeling lost.
Quarterback Josh Allen put the team on his back, and running back James Cook let his play do the talking, both of whom were instrumental in the team’s victory.
Shoutout also goes to the special teams unit as a whole, who were perfect on the day, along with Ray Davis setting the team up in perfect field position time after time.
Tom Brady’s pregame comments go viral after Bills’ comeback
Ahead of the game, Brady spoke on a FOX Sports segment about the game and how New England could silence the critics in the contest.
One of the biggest talking points surrounding the Patriots and their success is the strength of schedule. Though that’s a really lame thing to point out because the teams don’t make their own schedules, but I digress.
“You could look at the quality of opponents, I think that’s the argument everybody makes, but today’s the day to put that all to rest,” Brady said.
T-shirt and hat celebration ended by Buffalo
Buffalo, with the victory, crushed the spirits of the Patriots’ fanbase and stopped a certain celebration from taking place.
With a win, the Patriots would have won the division for the first time in five years. Fortunately, Buffalo kept its hopes alive of winning the division with the valiant comeback, even though it won’t be easy.
It’s as simple as the Bills needing to win out, and the Patriots needing to lose a game to either the New York Jets or Miami Dolphins, with the divisional matchups holding so much weight in playoff seedings. While it’s still a long shot, Buffalo took care of business and gave itself a chance.
With the Patriots on the brink of snapping their division drought, the stakes of the comeback grew even larger than just one win. Buffalo didn’t just flip the script on the scoreboard; it altered the course of the AFC East race at a critical point in the season.
Brady alluded to the fact that Sunday could put the debate to rest on the Patriots’ season, showcasing why they are top dogs or should be considered top dogs in the league. Instead, the game poured gasoline on the AFC East race.
Buffalo’s comeback kept its division hopes alive and served as a reminder that the road still runs through Orchard Park, regardless of who is holding the mic before kickoff.
