The Buffalo Bills pulled off the thrilling comeback over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 14. It was a game packed with drama and intrigue, as the snow was falling hard for one of the final games played inside Highmark Stadium.

Stars shine in the Bills’ win over the Bengals

Quarterback Josh Allen put on his Superman cape and willed his team to victory, making NFL history and thrusting himself back into the MVP race again. In the biggest moments on the biggest stages, Allen shows up for the team when it matters the most.

Another big name from the contest was that of cornerback Christian Benford, bringing down quarterback Joe Burrow with a sack while having the play of the game with a monster pick-six in one of the most crucial moments of the contest.

However, one specific name deserves recognition and got quite the payday for his efforts against the Bengals. That player is none other than tight end Dawson Knox, who opened the game with a huge reception of over 20 yards, locking in a massive payday for the veteran tight end.

Dawson Knox gets a huge payday in Week 14

According to Spotrac, Knox needed just 27 receiving yards to unlock a $100,000 incentive. Well, Knox didn’t have to wait long to cash in, as on the first play from scrimmage for Buffalo, he and Allen connected on a 32-yard pass. In just minutes, Knox earned himself a well-deserved $100,000.

The veteran tight end actually led the team in receiving yards during the victory, totaling six receptions for 93 yards. It was a day where Allen was feasting on throws to his tight ends, finding Dalton Kincaid for a touchdown, along with Jackson Hawes, late in the contest.

Knox is actually close to hitting yet another incentive, as ahead of the contest against the Bengals, he was 11 receptions away from locking in another $100,000. With six catches on the day, Knox only needs five catches for the remainder of the season to lock that in, something that we expect he may hit against the New England Patriots in Week 15.

Bills have a tough task ahead

While the Bills won, increasing their playoff chances, the job is not done, and the team has a tough task ahead of them in the upcoming Week 15 contest against the Patriots.

The Patriots have ascended to one of the best teams in the NFL, much to the chagrin of the Bills Mafia, who endured nearly two decades of the team running roughshod on the division.

Buffalo has a slim but possible chance of still winning the division. Still, it starts with taking care of business against the Patriots, all while hoping for a little luck along the way, and hoping New England loses two of their remaining games while Buffalo wins out.

Sunday’s win showed a team finding timely playmaking from every corner of the field. From Allen’s heroics to Benford’s pick-six to Knox stacking incentives, now comes the real test. If Buffalo can carry that same urgency into Foxborough, the Bills will keep their postseason dream very much alive.
