It is official.

Panthers head coach Dave Canales announced on Thursday that the plan is for Bryce Young and other key starters to play in the Panthers' final preseason game against the Buffalo Bills Saturday.

The majority of the expected starters, including Young, had not taken a single preseason snap.

Canales didn't innumerate on how much Young and the rest of the starters will play. However, he did highlight he hoped that the group would get "sweaty."

Canales' decision to play the starters comes after the Panthers lost the first two preseason games with Jack Plummer and Jake Luton taking snaps.

The Panthers playing starters comes as Canales hinted earlier in the week that he would be open to playing his top dogs.

“I’m open to playing our guys this week,” Canales said recently. "I collect information and make that decision as we go forward.”

Now Canales will be able to add more to his data set after Saturday.
