Welcome to Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft, the day where things really get exciting for this particular draft class around the league.

The first 32 selections in the opening round was a whirlwind of surprising selections and wild trades, but the second-round is easily going to be the strength of this draft when considering the prospects still remaining to be selected.

The Chicago Bears kicked off their 2025 Draft by selecting Michigan tight end Colston Loveland with the 10th overall pick. Today, the team holds three more selections (39, 41, and 72) to add impact players to the roster at positions of need. Here's what those selections could look like.

39th Overall Pick: RB TreVeyon Henderson

Coming away with TreVeyon Henderson after all at pick 39 would be a steal and a dream come true for head coach Ben Johnson. Chicago opted against moving up to land Ashton Jeanty in the first-round, meaning RB is still on the table in Day 2.

While the Bears didn't meet with Henderson, specifically, there's still some coaches inside the building who are very high on this guy and believe he can be an all-around back given his ability to pass protect and catch out of the backfield.

Henderson was receiving some first-round consideration but ultimately fell out into the second-round. I expect him to come off the board early on Friday and landing with Chicago would be the ideal fit for the former Buckeye.

Alternate selection: RB Kaleb Johnson

41st Overall Pick: DE Nic Scourton

Based on how the first-round went, I'm shocked at the amount of top edge rushers still on the board going into Day 2. All in all, five edge rushers were still selected on Thursday night, but it seemed like everyone expected more to fall.

The fact they didn't is great news for the Bears looking to add another impact player off the edge for defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.

Once again, I expect to see an early run at this position later tonight when the draft opens back up. Waiting till 41 to make a pick here is a gamble, but one that would pay off if someone like Nic Scourton is still available. Scourton is crazy young and had solid production at Texas A&M plus fits what Allen likes to look for in his edge rushers.

Alternate selection: DE Donovan Ezeiruaku

72nd Overall Pick: OL Jonah Savaiinaea

The Bears pivoted off the offensive line position after Will Campbell, Armand Membou, and Kelvin Banks were all taken prior to the 10th overall pick, whether by plan or not.

Regardless, fans were hoping for an addition on the offensive line early in the draft and Chicago unfortunately missed out on the early run, and the second run with guys like Donovan Jackson, Josh Conerly Jr., and Josh Simmons also flying off the board.

The only tackles left in consideration on Day 2 are Aireontae Ersery and Ozzy Trapilo. One name who still makes sense up-front, though not at left tackle, on Day 2 is Jonah Savaiinaea. The former Arizona standout has experience at right tackle and right guard. With the possibility open of moving Darnell Wright to left tackle, a high-upside prospect like Savaiinaea is certainly on the table.
