The Chicago Bears have put their foot down and are sending an important message to the locker room ahead of the Week 4 matchup with the Denver Broncos.

It was announced early on Sunday that wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown and quarterback Tyson Bagent will be active for the first time this season.

Bagent, the team's undrafted free agent, had a productive and energetic preseason outing a few weeks ago and will get a much deserved promotion as the team's backup quarterback moving forward.

St. Brown will join the roster in place of wide receiver Chase Claypool, whom the team will officially be making inactive after his locker room comments criticizing the coaching staff on Friday.

All three moves are deservedly warranted and have been highly requested by the Bears fanbase. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Bagent's activation "has nothing to do with [Justin] Fields' standing, but it does have to do with a young, promising QB deserving a promotion."

St. Brown's activation to the game day roster was heavily requested by the Bears starting quarterback since Week 1's loss to the Packers. After continuing to impress and prove himself in practice, St. Brown is finally getting his shot in 2023.

Claypool will be inactive for the third time since being acquired by the Bears back in November. Bagent will take over the backup duties from Nathan Peterman, who should now be expected to be inactive and serve as the team's emergency third quarterback.

Let's see if the highly sought after decisions will finally give the team some needed motivation leading up to a pivotal game later today. Both the Bears and Broncos are looking for their first win of the season and will do whatever it takes to achieve it.
