The Chicago Bears are continuing to stay busy leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft and are starting to line up their Top-30 visits with various prospects after attending several official Pro Days across the country.

The Bears are currently set to have four selections in the draft including two picks in the Top-10 of the first round to continue building the roster after a hectic start to the offseason. General manager Ryan Poles has already added some top offensive talent in free agency and could be looking to add even more at the top of April's draft.

According to Tony Pauline, the Bears are expected to have a Top-30 visit scheduled in the coming days with Georgia tight end Brock Bowers.

Bowers is perhaps the most accomplished and well sought after tight end prospect ever to come into the NFL. The former Bulldog dominated the competition during his three years at Georgia and is set to be selected in the top half of April's draft.

Many teams will be salivating over the big bodied pass catcher after recording 700+ yards and 4+ touchdowns in each of his three seasons in college. However, the positional value in the draft comes into play with Bowers and could affect where he truly lands in the upcoming draft.

The Atlanta Falcons broke the trend back in the 2021 NFL Draft after selecting Florida tight end Kyle Pitts with the fourth overall pick. Now, it's looking like it's Bowers turn to fight back against the norm to become a potential Top-10 selection.

Bowers met formally with the Bears' staff a few weeks back at the NFL Scouting Combine and it seems the front office wants to get to know the top prospect even more ahead of next month's draft.

The two-time John Mackey Award winner did not participate in any of the on-field testings at the NFL Combine but he did speak with a whole room full of reporters at the event. Bowers also did not test at Georgia's Pro Day this week and noted that he will instead showcase his skills for NFL teams on April 10.

"Watch the tape. The tape speaks for itself," Georgia head coach Kirby Smart told reporters earlier this week. "Nobody really asks about Brock because everybody's seen him. They've been to our practices. They know what he can do. I don't think there's a lot of questions about Brock Bowers' toughness or ability."

The Bears' continued interest in Bowers comes as a surprise but proves that the front office plans to continue building a more well-rounded arsenal of weapons in the passing game around an expected rookie quarterback. The Bears have already added tight end Gerald Everett into the room with Cole Kmet and traded for six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen.

Drafting Bowers in the Top-10 would just be icing on the cake for the Bears' offense that already features one of the best supporting casts a rookie quarterback has potentially ever walked into during his first season in the NFL. Will they look to make this dream pairing a reality in the Top-10 of the draft?
