There will be plenty of attention on the Chicago Bears as they enter the 2023 NFL Draft as one of the most talked-about teams this offseason.
With 10 draft picks in total and four selections in the first three rounds, the Bears have an opportunity to add top talent to a roster in need of depth. That being said, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus is implementing a unique tactic during the interview process with some of the team’s potential prospects.
In an exclusive interview with Hoge and Jahns, Eberflus reveals that he will be quizzing players on the Bears history during the team’s top-30 visits.

It’s not an interviewing strategy heard often around the NFL, but the Bears are one of the league’s most storied franchises. Plenty of Hall of Famers have walked through Halas Hall including Brian Urlacher, Devin Hester, Mike Singletary, Dick Butkus and Mike Ditka just to name a few.
Interestingly enough, Tremaine Edmunds attributed the team’s history at the linebacker position as one of the reasons he signed with Chicago this offseason.
Perhaps the goal is to help familiarize players with the franchise’s history to make the transition as a rookie a little bit easier. It’s also important for these prospects to understand what they might be walking into as potential draft choices for the second most-winningest franchise in the NFL’s history.
